Goldblack’s Conduct

Cp 33 · Suvaṇṇasāmacariya

A coastal tree and tawny grasses beside the sea.

“When in a wood I was Sāma the black, created by Sakka. I led the lions and tigers in the forest by love.

Surrounded by lions and tigers, leopards, bears, buffaloes, spotted deer, and wild boar, I stayed in the forest.

None were scared of me, nor I of them. Sustained by the power of love I delighted in the forest then.”
