Liable to End

SN 23.19 · Khayadhammasutta

Clear spring water flowing over pale limestone.

At Sāvatthī.

Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

“Sir, they speak of a ‘liability to end’. What has a liability to end?”

“Rādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness have a liability to end.

Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’”
