359. {362.} Kekkhārupupphiya

Tha-ap 364

Dew beads on a delicate web between meadow stems.

Walt 3184 Coming from the world of the dead,
I saw Gotama, Splendid One.
Taking a kekkhāra flower
I offered it to the Buddha. Verse 1

Walt 3185 In the ninety-two aeons since
I did pūjā to the Buddha,
I’ve come to know no bad rebirth:
that’s the fruit of Buddha-pūjā. Verse 2

Walt 3186 The four analytical modes,
and these eight deliverances,
six special knowledges mastered,
I have done what the Buddha taught! Verse 3

Thus indeed Venerable Kekkhārupupphiya Thera spoke these verses.

The legend of Kekkhārupupphiya Thera is finished.
